Obituary of Michael J. Ulak

Michael J. Ulak, age 32, of Gloucester City, NJ passed away suddenly on September 9, 2018.

Legacy

Mikey had many interests over the years. He loved skateboarding, soccer, and hanging at the shack with his closest friends. He was always there for his brother as a friend and role model. He never minded when Jay tagged along to hang out with the boys. Mikey has always been a caring loving man since the day he was brought home. Mike was always quiet and polite. He always stood by his mother’s side and just watched everything around him. His heart grew even more when his little brother was born. He couldn’t wait till he could come home so he could hold him and show him how much he loved little Jay. He was always on diaper duty and always made sure to give his brother kisses. From that moment on his parents knew that he would be an amazing father. He was fortunate enough to be graced with fatherhood on 9/9/11 when his beautiful little daughter Alana was born. As she grew, she wrapped and attached herself around her dad with each passing day.  Mikey couldn't even step outside with a full blown red head meltdown happening. Through the thick and thin Mikey still stayed by his mother's side. He knew when she was having an off day and when he should pick up the slack. He would always make sure to call when he was out so his mom wouldn’t worry. Mikey was truly and great friend, son, brother, and father. He will be truly missed and we know he is still watching over us and taking care of us.

Beloved father of Alana; Cherished son of Michelle L. (née Penton) and Jeffrey R. Ulak; Devoted brother to Justin J. (Morgan T. Gerber); Treasured nephew to Steve Ulak, Kimmy Penton, Heather Penton, and Danette Lescanec; Dear cousin to Melissa Ulak, Wayde Penton, Steve Ulak, Eric Ulak, Tanner Lescanec, Tia Lescanec, and Tristen Lescanec; Michael will also be survived and remembered fondly by his good friends Thomas ‘Big T.’ Barrar, Ryan ‘Rocky’ Vanderpoel, Michael Cattanea, and Kyle Janice.

Farewell Ceremony

Michael will be honored with a Visitation Saturday, October 20, 2018 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM with a Funeral Ceremony to follow at 5:00 PM.
