Obituary of William G. Comfort

William G. Comfort, 68, of Westville, NJ, passed away suddenly on October 1, 2018.

FAMILY

Devoted husband of 41 years to Goldie (nee Wertz); loving father of David and his wife, Linda; devoted grandfather of William; dear brother of Jerry Comfort, Barbara Comfort and Carolyn Dyer; dear uncle of Charlotte Malone.

LEGACY

Born in Smithville, Tennessee, William was a resident of Westville, NJ for the past 40 years.  He went to trade school in Tennessee, obtained his license as an electrician, was a longtime member of Local Union IBEW 351 located in Hammonton, NJ and retired in 2011.  A loving and wonderful gentleman, William was hardworking and devoted to his family.  He loved to bowl, listen to bluegrass music and play his banjo.  He also played guitar at Springs of Life Christian Center in Mullica Hill with his wife, Goldie and son, David.   

FAREWELL SERVICES

Relatives and friends are invited to William’s viewing on Friday, October 5, 2018, 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ where the Funeral Ceremony will follow at 12:30 PM.  Interment will take place privately.
