Obituary of James E. DuPell, III

James E. DuPell, III, age 69, of Elkton, MD, formerly of West Deptford, passed away on October 13, 2018 surrounded by his loving family.

Legacy

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Jim was a resident of West Deptford for most of his life until retiring to Maryland.  Prior to retiring, Jim was a laborer for Princeton University and member of the Local 172 NJ Laborers Union.   

A loving, quiet and strong man, Jim dedicated his life to his family, especially his grandsons.  Jim was a 1967 graduate of West Deptford High School and proudly served our country in the US Navy.  He was an amazing provider to his family, was an avid fisherman, loved dogs and enjoyed playing pool. A kind and caring soul among us, Jim will be missed deeply.    

Family

Beloved husband for 43 years of Shirley (nee Dipper);  devoted father of Jessica DuPell-Six (Jason) and the late James E. DuPell, IV.; loving grandfather of Desmond Shaffer and Caden Morgan.  Jim leaves behind his cherished Boston Terriers Lilly, Daisy and Buddy. 

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Jim’s visitation on Saturday 9:30 AM – 10:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter Street, Woodbury, NJ, where the Funeral Ceremony will be celebrated at 10:30 AM.  Interment private at the request of the family.
