Obituary of John D. Young

John David Young, 77 of Hudson, Florida, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. 

Legacy

John was born in Camden NJ, raised his family in Westville and Elmer NJ and retired in sunny Florida.  He proudly served in the United States Marine Corps.  He enjoyed many hobbies especially hunting, fishing, skiing, camping, kayaking, and sailing.

Family

He is the beloved husband of Sandra Young (nee Batten) for 54 years. Devoted father of John Young, Kevin Young (Cheryl), Richard Young (Margaret), and Tina Young. Treasured  grandfather of Ashley, Sarah, Matthew, Lauren, Lanie, and Lindsie. Son of the late Dorothy and Richard Young.  Dear brother of David Young.  He will be missed by many friends and family.

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend his viewing on Thursday, October 25th from 10:00AM to 11:45AM in the Episcopal Church of the Ascension, 110 South Sussex Street, Gloucester City NJ.  Funeral Service at 12:00PM.  Interment to follow in Gloucester County Veterans Cemetery, Williamstown NJ. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to American Cancer Society-www.cancer.org or St. John of God Community Service, 1145 Delsea Dr. Westville, NJ 08093-www.sjogcs.org.
