My deepest sympathy for the loss of an extremely kind woman. I only had the pleasure of meeting Diane briefly, but did speak to her many times on the phone. My husband, the late Ron Tallarida, PhD at Temple University had the pleasure of knowing Diane and working with her. He was always such a great judge of character and always described Diane as patient, kind and extremely helpful. I can tell you that the notes Diane wrote to me and my son, Chris (also Temple employee) at the time of Ron's death, two years ago, were truly beautifully written and quite inspiring to us. Our prayers are with you at this time of sorrow.

I wanted to send my condolences to the family and friends of Diane. She was and will always be known to me as Di. I have known Di for a lot of years through working at Temple - she was always very soft spoken but also very quick to laugh with a great sense of humor. This is how I will remember her always.

Dear Char, Kar, Cathe, Cyn, Debbi, Chuck, Jenny, Amy and family,
All who were blessed to have Diane in their lives are better people because of her. She had a kind and generous heart and would give freely of her love and time to all. What a shining example of God's love she is to all of us. If we are even half the person that our Di was, we would be lucky. I am praying that the spirit of Diane will live on in our hearts and that all of our most cherished memories of being with her will sustain us in our sad moments in the days to come.
My dearest friend Di, it is shocking and heartbreaking that you had to leave us all this way. We didn't have enough time together. There was so much more that we planned to do. Remember we were going to be in our rocking chairs and I was going to try to teach you (again) to crochet. Now we'll have to wait until we are in heaven together (hope I get there too). You were an inspiration to all of us with the kindness and patience that you have shown to everyone. I always told you when I grow up, I wanted to be just like you. Continue to help us from above, dear friend. You were our angel here on earth and we know that you truly are an angel in heaven with all the good you have done in your short 67 years. Diane will be missed by so many she was very quiet some would say shy but those who knew her best would say she was a most loving, caring devoted friend. I will miss our dinners together at the NCURA meetings in DC. We did not see a lot of each other over the years being separated by buildings and time but I always enjoyed her company and will pray that she is at peace. My sincere condolences to her family and friends.
