Obituary of John J. Stalba, Sr.

John J. Stalba, Sr., age 95, passed away on December 12, 2018.

John proudly served our country in U.S. Army during WWII as a Sgt. and was stationed in Normandy, France and Omaha Beach.  He loved the Philadelphia Eagles and traveling with his wife and family to Hawaii, St. Thomas and Jamaica.  John enjoyed watching CNN to keep up with the news and watching Lawrence Welk on Saturdays.  He was always in a good mood and loved to tell stories to his family about growing up in South Philly, his army days and working days.  John loved his house in Collingswood and was very happy in his new digs in Washington Twp.  He worked for the Naval Air Engineering Center first at Philadelphia Naval Base then moved to Lakehurst.  After retiring from NAEC he worked at Ballard Spahr as manager of the mailroom for 7 years until he retired at the age of 62.  He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Beloved husband of the late Ida May (nee Bennett);  devoted father of Kathy Kane (the late Chris), Joan Dayter (Mark) and John;  treasured grandfather of Jeffrey and Amanda (Greg Consenza) and great-grandfather of Harrison and Grant;  dear brother of the late Michael;  loving uncle of many nieces and nephews. 

Farewell Tribute

Relatives and friends are invited to attend John’s visitation on Saturday at 3pm – 4pm in the McGuinness Funeral Home - Washington Township, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ where a service will be held at 4:00pm.  Interment private at the request of the family.
