Obituary of Georgianna M. Donohugh

Georgianna M. Donohugh, 97,  of Washington Township, formerly of National Park, NJ, passed away on December 14, 2018 with her loving family at her side..  
 
Legacy
A true lady in every sense of the word, Georgie was the "The Ultimate hostess" and her home was open to all.  Georgie had a way of making all feel welcome and special; whether it was the way she would have your favorite meal in the freezer with your initials on it or the special cookie packages she would make for her loved ones, you could always count on Georgie.  She was lovingly nicknamed "The Cookie Lady" for her wonderful baked goods, especially her snickerdoodles and  Irish potatoes.  You never left Georgie's home with an empty stomach. She was positive, vibrant and a real people person.  She loved to talk, even if she didn't think you were listening.  She enjoyed spending time at her home in Grassy Sounds in North Wildwood, tending to her rose bushes. and enjoying her baby bottles of Rolling Rock.  

Born in Philadelphia, PA, Georgie was raised in National Park and was a resident for 70 years.  She was an active member of the community serving as a committee woman and worked for the mayors to help bring folks out to vote. 
 
Family
Beloved wife of the late, Thomas W. Donohugh; Loving mother of Joyce F. (Don) Kelley and Judith M. Kazdal; cherished MomMom of Amy (Chris), Thomas (Lisa), Georgianna (Dave), Dana (Tom), Stacy and grandmom of Alex, Madison, Brooke P., Mackenzie, Riley, Stephen, Delaney, Brooke W., Jonathan, Sydney and Morgan; dear sister of Richard (Rose) Allen, George (Gerry) Allen and the late William, Edward, Robert, Theodore "Teddy" and Jack.  Georgie is also survived by dear sister in law, Jean Allen and Thelma Allen, longtime and dear friend, Sis Wilson and many loving nieces and nephews.
 
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Georgie's viewing on Saturday, 12/29/2018, 9:00 - 11:00 AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Sewell, NJ 08080.  Mass will follow at 12:00 PM at  Our Lady of Peace Parish, 32 Carroll Avenue, Williamstown, NJ.  Interment will take place privately.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Georgie's memory to Grace Healthcare Service, 105 Fieldcrest Avenue, Suite 402, Edison, NJ 08837.
