Obituary of Deacon Albert J. Riviello Jr.
Deacon Albert J. Riviello Jr., of Mullica Hill, NJ passed away on Wednesday, December 19, 2018. He was 75.
Legacy
Al was best described as a generous and devoted Christian. He was passionate about teaching and spending time with his "granddaughters". He loved a good conversation and enjoyed going to the diner to do crossword puzzles. Al also loved his animals, especially his cats, and would brag about making pizza in college. Al was a Deacon at St. Anne's in Westville until they merged with Holy Angels Parish, he then joined the Holy Angels Parish in Woodbury. Before becoming a Deacon, Al started out as a State Trooper and then went on to teach at St. Augustine Prep. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.
Family
He is the beloved husband of 40 years to the late Bernadette (nee Chmielewski); he leaves behind his loving “adopted” family Kristi, Steve, Tenley and Ryland Johnson.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend Al’s visitation on Thursday, December 27, 2018 from 8:30 AM - 10:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home – 34 Hunter St, Woodbury, NJ 08096. A Mass will follow at 11:00 AM in the Holy Angels Parish at St. Patrick R.C. Church 64 Cooper St., Woodbury, NJ 08096. Entombment in New Saint Mary’s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in his name to the Gloucester County Animal Shelter - 1200 N Delsea Dr, Clayton, NJ 08312.
