Oh my I cannot believe that Miss Godfrey lived so nearby me! I would have loved to have visited her if I knew she lived so close by! I also would have been honored to have come to her funeral but only just now saw that she had past! I was a student of hers in upstate New York at Ross Corners Christian Academy. She taught me History! She was a godly influence & was a really nice teacher. I was a handful in High School & I remember her crying & telling my mother at back to school night & saying how I could be a better Christian if I only would behave better! Oh my she got me in so much trouble with my parents! A teacher crying about my behavior! I shall never forget you Eva! You were one of the good ones!

I was honored to have Miss Godfrey as a Bible teacher at Ross Corners Christian Academy in the late 1970’s. I still remember some of the Bible lessons, including a long one on The book of Revelation. I was just thinking back to when we drew out all of the symbols on a long sheet of paper. I loved it. How special it is to me to be teaching Revelation next week to a lovely group of ladies here in Washington Township, Ohio!
I also knew Miss Godfrey and Miss Morano through my great-Aunt Bea who lived with us. Those ladies were full of life! What precious memories.

Miss Godfrey was my Bible teacher at Ross Corners Christian Academy for my Junior and Senior year. I will never forget her opening every class, pointing her finger at us and saying, 'You cannot get to Heaven ... (and she would name all the things I was 'holding' on to to get me there and she would end it by saying...) you have to have a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. I knew what she meant having been brought up in a Christian home, but I had never made it personal to me. In the Fall of my Senior year, I accepted Christ as my personal Savior. I thank God for Miss Godfrey, her faithfulness and wisdom to know that even kids in a Christian school may not truly know Christ as Savior. I look forward to seeing her one day when I go Home.

I taught with Miss Godfrey and Miss Morano at Valley Heights Christian School in Norwich, NY. What a joy they both were. So much fun and such examples to me. I know they are enjoying the delights in Heaven with our Saviour. I can't wait to join them there. Heaven gets brighter every day.

Miss Godfrey and Miss Morano made such an impact in my life as a young teen as I sat in their classes at Ross Corners Christian Academy (1969-72). I'm so thankful for their investment in my life. They were an immense help to me as I prepared for deputation as well. They loaned me several items they had brought back from their years in Japan for my display table.

The best memory I have of Aunt Eva was her laugh. Have missed her sharp mind and wit for several years and will miss her presence now she is in heaven. Love you Aunt Eva!

Our family will always remember the fun times with Aunt Eva. Whether it was during the family trips back and forth from SC to NJ, the kid’s birthday parties, or the Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners, Aunt Eva (and Aunt Sue)would keep us entertained with stories. We will never forget her smile or her laugh. But most importantly, we will never forget her love for God and the testimony she had. She is rejoicing in Heaven now, reunited with her Savior and the rest of her family.

Eva was such a special lady. Our family spent many Sundays at our church with Eva and even took a long trip up to NJ and back to SC. She loved to share stories with us. After her friend, Sue, started to decline in health, it was my privilege to help Sue and Eva. No matter what the circumstance Eva always had a smile even when "Meals on Wheels" had brussel sprouts for her lunch! My oldest daughter named her youngest daughter "Eva" in honor of your aunt. What fond memories we will treasure of our dear friend Eva!!! Her belief and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ to save her from her sins gave Eva the strength and hope to live each day. She is now Home in heaven with her Savior! What a glorious day it will be when we are reunited in heaven!!!! Praying for all the family and may God give you peace and comfort.
