May I offer my condolences to all of Bob's Family and Friends. Bob and I go back to 7th Grade at Thomas Jr, High School on into and thru South Phila High School. I got to know all of Bob's friends from the 3100 Bloc So. Iseminger St. area. After High School our time together became sporadic for many different reasons. Whenever we bumped into each other however, there was no change in the intensity of our long-standing friendship. We started to get together a little during 2008 - 2010. I spent a day at his senior living development home and we often met at the Adelphia in Deptford. Several serious medical issues came my way in mid 2010 and Bobby visited me many times while I was in re-hab. I became very despondent over limitations I was forced to live with and because of this I started to get short with everyone around me. Bob, at one point even said that it seemed as though he was bothering me. This seemed to have weakened our relationship and contact stopped. I made a few feeble attempts at contacting him via texts and facebook to no avail. I should have and could have tried harder. I just found out about Bob's passing and I've learned my lesson well about getting over things and to try harder, much harder to iron out any misunderstandings caused by me. I've laid out this long-winded scenario for you, the reader in order that you may think twice and not do what I have done or better, what I should have done. Let's consider this a tribute in Bob Ippolito's memory. Rest In Peace Bob Ippolito, your friend - Lou Gibson.

Bob was a long time friend from our teaching days at the Bregy Elementary School in South Philadelphia. Several of us got together regularly as 'the lunch bunch' after we retired. Bob was my source for reliable car buying and maintenance advice and stories. He loved cars, especially the Corvettes that he owned over the years. I will miss my good friend.

Greg and Chris, It was my pleasure and honor to know your dad. We became fast friends while working at the ACME on Tenth and Reed Streets, and we remained friends for 50+ years. Bob and I shared many a great Chinese meal together. We shared classroom stories and family stories. We also shared many laughs, and, sometimes, tears. Most of all, I will never be able to thank Bob enough for the friendship he provided during a tough time that I faced in the 80s. I know how much Dad enjoyed the Four Seasons, so I'll end with Frankie Valli's words: "Swearin' to god (Swearin' to God)/So glad he's givin' me you." I will miss my "brother from another mother."

I’m so sorry I will not be able to attend your father’s services. My name is Karen O’Hara and I taught with your father for many years and I’m still at Bregy. He was one of the hardest working man I know, between school and the ACME at 10th St., that I ever now. He also was one of the funniest guys that I ever worked with. He was one of the three musketeers, Joe and MIke and him. I often think of your father when I’m up on the third floor at school. He always threw the best parties And was a hell of a cook.
