Obituary of Denise M Dunn

Denise Dunn (Stratton), beloved mother, grandmother, aunt and friend passed away peacefully at the age of 98 on the morning of April 8, 2019. Denise was born September 19, 1920 to parents Clifford and Jenny Stratton of Camden, NJ. The youngest of four sisters, Denise easily assumed the role of care taker for any member of her family in need, as family was always the center of her world. She had a kind heart, and all will remember her gift with calming, nurturing and taking care of babies and children, a gift many appreciated!  She was an avid story-teller, crossword puzzle, reading and card-playing enthusiast. She leaves behind her son, James E. Dunn Jr. and his wife Laura, granddaughters Brittney and Taylor, nieces Jane and Diane, as well as many great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, James E. Dunn, and sisters Marie, Virginia and Gladys and her niece Denese.

The viewing and funeral services will be held on Friday, April 12th at St. Matthew’s Church located at 4th and Monument in National Park, NJ 08063. The visitation time will be 9-10am ET, and mass will be held at 10am ET. Interment to follow at Woodbury Memorial Park, West Deptford, NJ.
