Dear Aunt Peg !!! I wish I knew you were sick or I would have made it a point too come see you !!! But,
You are with Lord now and I know if you were in pain or suffering,the Lord will take that burden away from you.
May the lord give you peace and serenity!!!! I know you are there to look over Uncle Lee and your children!!
I know I hadn't spent much time with you and Uncle Lèe like I should have,but you both were always kind to me and you were always happy from what I saw. I wish you everlasting peace and tranquility!!! I know you will be there waiting for the rest of us!!!! Rest in peace !

I know that Peg was going thru a lot the past few years, often in pain suffering and tired. my memories of her are quite the opposite. When my family moved here - your mom was a lot younger - we all were. your mom had a smile and a laugh that was contagious! She drew people in and she was kind and welcoming - she was not one to sit around when something needed to be done! She was a go getter and fiesty and wouldn’t take no for an answer. She got the PTA parents motivated and rolling and she kept that drive and inspired others to do good. She also was very good at organizing all of the events - many are still taking place today. She was a good leader bc had a lot of love to give ! She had a strong sense of herself and a strong sense of justice -and a lot of common sense! she was caring and she always listened with compassion and understanding. She was fiercely proud and protective of her kids -whom she adores and nothing can ever take that away. I hope that god gives you peace and comfort to get thru this difficult time, and I hope with time you continue to feel her love and presence and when we miss her we will continue to find her spirit in your daily and in each other. I truly loved Nd sired and was inspired by her- and will miss her dearly.

My Aunt Peg loved nicknames. Every nickname had a story and she wasn’t shy about using them. (I think I get that from her.) She told stories where people weren’t good or bad, but human…and that was ok. She seemed to really know people, and perhaps that is why she had so many friends. I remember as a child looking around at holidays in her (and Uncle Larry’s) home and being surrounded by not only family but dozens of her friends and their families and thinking how nice it was that she brought everyone together. I never knew my Aunt as a nurse, but I could easily see how her lighthearted humor and easiness could translate to putting a patient at ease.
She gave great gifts and was very generous in giving. I remember when Andrew had his tonsils taken out she brought him a gift bag full of Ghostbusters themed items, complete with Ecto Cooler! She made this little girl wish for a tonsillectomy of her own just so I could get a similarly crafted bag. She spoiled us all and carried it on to my little boys, always adding a little gift for the other when giving a birthday or baptism gift.
Aunt Peg gave the best compliments to your character. And if someone else said something kind about you, she made sure to let you know. I think it was her way of strengthening the relationships around her. I try to do this, and with her passing I will try to do it more. And I will think of you now just as I always have, for the gifts you give, the people you touch, the friends you keep and the family you bring together.
