The past 15 years reconnecting with you Bill has been bitter sweet for our daughter, Candace Murphy and I. You will be greatly missed. I hope that Candace, Carol and Cristin find peace in knowing that you are walking in Heaven beside the Lord.

Carol and family
I was, of course, sorry to learn of Bill's passing. He was definitely a "one of a kind" person. Working with him at Gulf was a real experience. How many times did he try to explain something to his co-workers who just didn't seem to understand? Out of his bib overalls would come his pencil and a piece of paper where he would commence to drawing a picture or a diagram to prove his point. And he always did. That was Bill. A good guy who will be sorely missed by all who knew him -- and loved him. My heartfelt sympathy to the entire Steinberger family. Rest in eternal peace, Bill.

You will always be our favorite Yankee! We will miss the very long conversations we always had. I will always cherish you standing shoulder to shoulder with me at the Vietnam Memorial. You understood the pain, you understood. Love you forever. Whatever you do, don’t start an argument with God. You won’t win!!

One of MANY memories I have of Billy is when he moved in with us after coming from Vietnam. He put many, many laughs in our family. BUT- my favorite memory and I can see it still so clearly even now is Billy running around Creek Run lake in his bright blue bikini swim suit. It is burned in my brain. I can't get it out of my head and I don't want to. It was definitely a hoot! He was a blast to be with.
Carol and kids had a wonderful life with this man. He will be sorely missed for sure. Especially his loud laugh.
Love you Bill♥♥♥♥

Billy was an older brother to me. On one occasion that we went fishing in Medford one of our special spots, it was dusk and a game warden snuck up on us .I was maybe 15 years old and about 20 feet to Bill's left.Game warden asked if I knew the older man and (yes I did) and I said NO. Poor Billy jumped thru his skin saying I was his cousin. Needless to say Bill was not happy. Between him, myself and my late father and Uncle Ken always had a tight knit family of competitive fishing.
God Bless You Boo....
