I was blessed to have Marty as a customer in my days with CAS Scale. I believe that he knew every deli and crab house within 20-miles of Lindenwold! For the past few years I had the pleasure to work with Marty at Advance Scale and he was the ultimate team player! Marty was always happy and shared his knowledge with those around him. Continued prayers for his family during this tough time and we'll meet again on "streets of gold".

I met Marty in 1987 at Advance Scale as a Technician. I have a lot of great memories from working with Marty. Each and every day on a job with him was a learning experience as Marty had a great rapport with many customers.
I lost touch with my friend in 2001, but was reunited four years ago when on a Cruise Vacation with my wife. We were walking around the top deck and coming towards us was Marty and Diana. I couldn't believe that in the middle of the ocean I would bump into my old friend. What are the odds. We spent hours talking old scale stories, while our wives rolled their eyes.
Soon after I was then again working with Marty at Advance Scales, things could not have been better. Marty always helping me with a smile.
We've lost a great, old school Scale Man that could always, somehow find a way to get done what was needed.
I will forever look for Marty while walking the decks on future Cruises and think of him as the sun sets over the Ocean.
Rest in Peace my Friend.

I worked with Marty for the past 12 yrs at Advance Scale, it was a pleasure. Marty had some of the same family issues (like many family's deal with) that I was having and always would ask how things were going and how I was doing. We would always give each other that look, like we understood what each was going thru. I really did appreciate that. I will miss him. RIP Mart.

I had the extreme pleasure of working side by side with my mart-man for ten years. We quickly formed a bond since he was my "go-to" person - - actually he was everyones go-to person. If you couldn't find a part or figure out what you needed, Mart was the man. We would spend hours lovingly teasing each other, playing tricks on him was a lot of fun because he was an easy target. Once I taped down everything on his desk so whatever he would grab was taped down, you'd hear him "SOB", "WTH" and he'd walk out with a smile and say, "you got me again" and he'd just laugh. We even put packing tape across the entrance door that he bounced into when he tried entering. Mart loved his family deeply and spent most of his time talking about them. He adored Diana and always talked about their adventures. He loved his children and grandkids unconditionally and was proud of each and everyone of them. I spoke to him a few weeks ago and he updated me on the whole clan. I said Mart when are you going to get the hell out of there and retire? He said "Maggie (which he affectionately called me, not sure why though), I'm gonna stay here as long as I can, maybe two more years. I got all those grandkids and we like to do things. I need money to keep up with my crusin'". Mart man, I hope you enjoy your cruisin' in heaven because I know that's what you'll be doing. You were not merely a co-worker or friend, you were family and I hope you know how much I absolutely adored you. Love you forever. You will never be forgotten
