Obituary of Dolores Lelle

Dolores J. Lelle (nee Grasso), a resident of Sewell, New Jersey, passed away on July 25, 2019.  She was 87 years old.

Legacy

Dolores Lelle, affectionately referred to as “Mimmy” by her family, was a little Italian lady hailing from South Philly. She was a wife to a marine; a mother to a teacher and a framer; a grandmother to four; and a great grandmother to two. Her kitchen was always open, her table always ready for a meal, and her pantry always full. Her cooking skills were second to none, and her famous Italian wedding soup was a staple at holiday gatherings. Dolores was happiest at these gatherings, with her family seated around her big dining room table, where she would forever encourage them to eat and eat some more. She was a champ at bingo, was known to crochet a full blanket in mere hours, had a knack for cross stitching, and could win a game of gin rummy with her eyes closed. She enjoyed cozy slippers, coffee after dinner, and hummingbirds on her back porch.

Family

She is the beloved wife of the late John Lelle; devoted mother to Wayne Lelle and Carol Anne Cox (Gerard); cherished grandmother to Wayne Lelle, Maureen Lelle, Vincent Thoder and Deanna Cox; loving great-grandmother to Jack Thoder and Charlie Lorraine.  Dolores is predeceased in death by her parents Henry and Rose Grasso; brothers, Henry Grasso and Raymond Grasso and sister Lorraine Zappolo. 

Farewell Tribute

Family and friends are invited to attend her visitation on Wednesday, July 31, 2019 at 10:00AM at the McGuinness Funeral Home – 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Sewell, NJ 08080.  A Funeral Ceremony will take place at 11:00AM at the funeral home with Interment to follow at Hillcrest Memorial Park, Sewell, NJ.
