Obituary of Lucy D Wurst

Lucy D Wurst (nee Albanese), 103 of Mantua, New Jersey, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, August 2, 2019. 
 
Legacy
Born in Camden during WWI, Lucy worked as a seamstress for many years in her hometown. She then built a home in Mantua N.J. where she raised the family with her husband Roy.  The house was the hub of activity and Lucy was very proud of her accomplishment.   She opened delis and a pizzeria which were very successful and contributed to her being such an accomplished woman.  Lucy continued to sew, making wedding gowns, clothing, beautiful curtains and crocheted many blankets for her family and close relatives.  She  lived her life for the family and  enjoyed cooking meals for everyone.  Lucy loved her vegetable and flower gardens and even in her late years was still an avid seamstress, gardener and magnificent cook.

Family
She was the beloved wife of the late Leroy B Wurst.  Devoted mother of Gene Iezzi (Paula), Dennis Wurst (Gail) and Denise Munafo (Joseph).  Treasured Grams of Cara, Michelle, Leslie, Lisa, Denny, Derek, Paul, Laurie, Mike, Nick and the late Mark.  Adored great grandmother of 17.  Predeceased by 3 brothers, 4 sisters and her parents Mary and Pasquale Albanese.  She will be missed by many friends and family.
 
Farewell Tribute
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her Graveside Service Saturday, August 17th at 11:00AM in the Gloucester County Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown, NJ.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Samaritan Healthcare, 5 Eves Dr., Suite 300 Marlton, NJ 08053, wwwsamaritanhealthcare.nj.org.
