Obituary of Richard J Osgood

Richard J. Osgood, age 76, of Deptford, NJ, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 13, 2019 with his wife by his side.

Rick was born in Racine, Wisconsin, raised in California and spent most of his life in Philadelphia, PA and Deptford, NJ.  He was a Navy Veteran who served our country in Vietnam as a Navy Seabee.

Everyone who knew and loved Rick will remember his love of family, friends, Florida, as well as his great sense of humor, cheering on the Eagles and especially his ability to build or fix pretty much anything.  He was the unpaid craftsman for whatever projects his girls dreamed up and will be remembered for being the dad who mastered the toy crane machine and the Pop who built Joe and Nick’s treehouse.

Devoted husband of Barbara (nee: Joynes) for 53 years and 3 days. Loving father to Joanna Holland (Jack), Kathy Thistlewood (Jay), Kristin Lamelas (Joe), Proud Pop to John, Jaclyn, Casey, Joey, Nick, Sophia and great grandfather of McKenna.  Dear brother-in-law to Gene Joynes (Wanda), the late Raymond Joynes, and brother of Judy Grable, the late Alan Osgood and the late Dottie Root.  Rick also leaves behind numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
