Obituary of Joseph J. Armitage

ARMITAGE, Joseph, J., of Deptford and formerly of National Park, NJ, on May 20, 2008. Aged 84 years. Joe will be known as a loving easygoing gentleman who was devoted to his family. Joe served his country proudly in the Army during World War II and was highly decorated for his courage earning a Purple Heart and 4 Bronze Service Stars. Joe was a member of the National Park VFW Post #6884, and was an adoring sports fan of the Phillies and Eagles. He is the Beloved Husband of the late Margaret nee Laughlin and dear companion of Ann Denestin; Devoted father of Rita Michael Dooling and Timothy Janet Armitage; Loving grandfather of Jennifer John Sims, Brian Armitage, Kelly and Michael Dooling; Adoring great grandfather of Mikayla Lee. Viewing Friday 8:30-10AM in the St. Matthew's RC Church, 4th & Monument Ave, National Park, NJ where Funeral Mass will be celebrated following.
