Obituary of Jessie I. McCann

McCANN—Jessie I. nee Jacobs of Washington Twp. on May 18, 2008. Aged 88 years. Jessie was an exacting woman with a strong sense of faith, community and family. Born in Nanticoke, PA, Jessie has been a resident of Washington Twp. since 1944. Many will remember buying produce and plants from her family's farm in town. Jessie was a long time, active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas at St. Bridget's Parish, Glassboro, where she served as past Grand Regent and District Deputy. She also served as past president of the Hurffville P.T.A. She is the beloved wife of the late Thomas; devoted mother of Alyce Hagelstein Robert, Thomas, James Catherine, Michael, Miriam Wildes Dennis and the late Louis; dear sister of Marjorie Glawe Charles; loving grandmother of Tom, Jessica, Tommy, Ashley, Meaghan, Colleen and Abby and great grandmother of Jayson. Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing Fri. 6:30-9 PM and on Sat. 8:30-9:15 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Washington Twp. Sewell.
