Obituary of Veronica C. Egan

Egan, Veronica C. nee Watts, of Wenonah on May 16, 2008. Wife of 60 years of the late William J. Egan, Sr.. Mother of Grace Carol Stansfield Robert, Veronica Benham, Anne Maria Sanders Keith, Jeanne Toppi John, and William J. Egan, Jr. Regina. Grandmother of 16. Greatgrandmother of 22. Ronnie Egan was truly a loyal, devoted person. She was devoted to her family, her church, her work and her country. She enjoyed her large family and all of the celebrations that were a part of it. Ronnie was born in Philadelphia. She met Bill Egan when she was a teenager and they married in 1941. She enjoyed traveling throughout the United States when she was younger and enjoyed her casino trips in later years. She worked for Nabisco Bakery and also the Register of Wills Office and as a Democratic Committeewoman in Philadelphia. She was President of the St. Margaret's Woman's Club. Many will remember her as a Crossing Guard in Oak Valley. A viewing will be held on Tuesday eve from 6:30 PM to 9:00 PM and Wednesday from 8:30 AM to 9:30 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter St. Woodbury. Mass of Christian Burial 10 AM Wednesday in St. Patrick's RC Church, Woodbury Interment New St. Mary's Cemetery, Bellmawr Donations may be made to the Building Renovation Fund of St. Patrick's RC Church 64 Cooper St. Woodbury, NJ 08096.
