Obituary of Peggy L. Van Dexter

Peggy L. Van Dexter nee Broscious of Gloucester City, NJ on May 15, 2008. Aged 75 years. Peggy was born in Mt. Carmel, a small coal region town in Pennsylvania. When she was a young girl, she moved to Camden, NJ. While growing up in Camden, she met her husband John through his brother. After they married they moved to Gloucester where they have remained for the past 36 years. Peggy served as a den mother for her son's Cub scout troop as he was growing up. She loved her family very much, especially her grandchildren. Among her many hobbies, Peggy enjoyed following professional sports, especially the Philadelphia Eagles and Flyers. She also enjoyed listening to country western music. Beloved wife of 54 years, John C. Van Dexter, Sr. Devoted mother of John C. June Van Dexter, Jr. Loving grandmother of Josh and Morgan Van Dexter. Beloved sister of Miriam and the late Ed, Chippy, Dutch, Bill, and Doreen. Visitation will be held on Wednesday from 11 AM to 12 Noon at the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury. Memorial Service will follow at 12 Noon at the Funeral Home.
