Obituary of Gerladine Anderson
ANDERSON—Geraldine of Glassboro, went to be with the Lord on Monday, May 5, 2008 at her home, surrounded by her family. Aged 86 years.
Geraldine was born in Columbia, SC on July 26, 1921 to Whilhelmenia and Bright Thomas. She was educated in Columbia and later moved to Glassboro, NJ in 1935. She was baptized in St. Cyfrian's Misson Episcopal, Glassboro on December 29, 1936. Geraldine was employed by the Glassboro School System for 17 years as a cafeteria employee. She married George Harris on September 18, 1937. From this union they were blessed with six children; Nathaniel Tomas, Eleanor Williams, Susan Dunlap, Geraldine Harris Harris, Leroy Harris and the late George E. Harris, Jr. Geraldine then married the late Clinton Anderson on October 18, 1965. She is the loving grandmother of 15 and great grandmother to many; mother-in-law of Doris Tomas and Robert Dunlap; also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and beloved dog, Plum.
Geraldine will be remembered as a strong yet kind woman who had a good sense of humor and was a great listener. She loved to cook a good meal for her family. Her home was very important to her; decorating, collecting nick-nacks and spending time relaxing on her deck with her family.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend her viewing 9-10:45 AM and funeral services 11 AM Friday in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 573 Egg Harbor Rd., Washington Twp. Sewell.
Interment Land of Canaan Cemetery, Elk Twp.
