Obituary of Joseph J. Janik

Janik, Joseph J., Jr. of Gibbstown on May 4, 2008. Aged 81 years. Husband of Agnes nee O'Neill. Brother of Elwood Janik Vickie, Harry Janik Linda, Pauline Janik Maverick and Loretta Lohrmann Fred. Predeceased by his brother, Bill and his parents, Joseph, Sr. and Margaret. Joe was a quiet independent man who enjoyed traveling and had a special affection for his nieces and nephews. Joe served 21 years in the US Navy. He fought in the Normandy Invasion of France. He arrived the second day of the assault - June 7th, his 18th birthday. Joe was a member of the Army-nVay Union Garrison #52 of National Park. He enjoyed his friends and the good times there. A viewing will be held on Thursday eve from 6:30- 9:00 PM and Friday from 9 until 10 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home 34 Hunter St. Woodbury. Funeral services will be officiated by Rev.
