Edward A. Dean, Sr. 74 Of Mantua, New Jersey. Born in the Germantown
section of Philadelphia, and a Veteran of the Korean War, Ed passed
away peacefully holding the hand of his loving wife of 54 years,
Joanne. Ed leaves behind his most beloved treasures, his five
children: Edward A Dean, Jr. Susan, Susan Kirschner Michael, Ellen
Murray James, Joanne Schade Fran, Stephen Dean Tiffany. His
seven grandchildren: Jillyn, Susan, Laura, Megan, Stephanie, Michelle
and Ryan. And his three Great-Grand Children: Stephen, Braden and
Zackary. Ed was the loving brother of Joseph Dean, John Dean, James
Dean, Howard Dean, Raymond Dean, Robert Dean, Norman Dean, Dorothy
Teubner, Mildred McGarrity, Bernice O'Brien, Dolores Gavaghan, Marie
Bauvier and Eleanor Thompson. He will be remembered most for his
strong love of family, work ethic, keen sense of humor, meticulous
lawn care and, most important, the examples he set for his children.
He enjoyed music, nature, gardening, bird-watching, strolling through
the aisles of Home Depot and spending time with his sons in Clearwater
Beach, Florida and Austin, Texas. He also enjoyed watching the
Phillies and griping about the Eagles. His magical voice, jokes and
laughter and his ability to lift the spirits of those in need will be
missed the very most. In lieu of flowers the family requests donations
be made in memory of Edward Dean to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, 1415 Route
70E, Cherry Hill, NJ 08034.
Visitation will be held at The Church of The Incarnation in Mantua, NJ
