I knew Joanne from work over a period of many years. To me she was one of the most generous and selfless individuals I have ever met. She always offered help in a time of need without regard to her own inconvenience. I always considered her a friend as well as a fellow worker.
She often spoke of her daughter who was her source of pride and fulfillment.
May all those who knew her take solace in the knowledge that she is now resting in peace in a place where pain and suffering do not exist.
G-D BLESS JOANNE

Toni, Rita and Nicole,
I was very sad to hear that Joanne had passed. I am actually still in shock. I always loved your daughter/mom for saying exactly what she wanted and being exactly who she was. She was also hilariously funny and warm.
I will remember her delicious cookies and hearty laugh a long time.
My sincerest condolences and prayers are with you.

My sister Mary Beth Calahorrano & I would like to send our condolences to Joanne's family. We were hired at Sancoa a month after Joanne. She will be missed. My sister just had a baby and Joanne was the first person who approached me when I came into work the next week. She wanted to know everything about my sister and my new little niece. From my sister and I we will miss her and we are both in shock still. Nicole your mother talked about you so much we all feel like we know you. Always know that she loved you and was so proud of you.
From the Leavesley and the Calahorrano Families our deepest sympathy to you all.

Nicole, words cannot even begin to express the sorrow I am feeling for you. I just want you to know that I am here for you with hugs and kisses whenever you need them. Never hesitate to ask or call. My line is open 24/7. you are a beautiful young girl and I know it seems hard but you will get through this. I see alot of your mother in you.
Tony, I dont know what to say. I know you are hurting and I just want to give you a great big hug. I know what Joanne meant to you. When you are ready just call me and I will be there.
Aunt Rita and Uncle Tony, I am sooo sorry for your loss. I cant even imagine the hurt you are going through. I remember the times on Whitaker Ave when you all lived next to us and how funny and helpful Joanne was. I wish we didnt lose touch over the years but the times we did have i will always remember. You have a beautiful granddaughter that has so much of her mother in her. That is a special gift Joanne left you to cherish.
My sorrows and prayers go out to you all but most of all so does my love.

Nicole, Uncle Anthony and Aunt Rita --- I am so sorry for your great loss and will keep you in my thoughts and prayers. I remember Joanne so clearly when we were children -- she was so cute, and always happy and smiling. I enjoyed being with all my cousins, and we all loved being with our aunts, uncles, and grandparents. We knew we were loved, and nothing is more important than that.
Love, Michele
