Well its been over 2 years now and I have just now mustered up the courage to google your name. I didnt make it to your funeral, after my dads I find them too hard to go too. It's not like I needed to go for you to know you were my bestfriend in school. Someone came into my work today and said "you used to walk down the halls with dave everyday" and it made the realization of my sadness without you even stronger. you are such a beautiful soul and though we didnt talk much out of school i know that if I needed you you would be there. The people that got the pleasure of seeing you daily are lucky and I know they understand the beauty you brought this world. Musically and personally. Me you and james and mack made a good team running the halls. I miss you dude.
love you.

I don't even know where to start...Dave was such an awesome dude. He was just that kind of guy that everyone wanted to know and be friends with. I've known Dave for a really long time, since birches elementary school. He was such a great musician. Everytime i heard him play i was just amazed by his ability. My heart goes out to his family and his really close friends. It is hard enough for me to even fathom that he is gone. I was away on vacation and could not attend Dave's viewing, but I will visit Dave today and pay my last respects.
I will miss you Dave.

For David:
God bestowed blessings
To quite a few
But the GIFT of Music
He selected for you
Listening to you play
Brought everyone joy
A talent you began
As just a little boy
Those lucky enough to hear
Your music out loud
Well let's just say
It would make any mother proud
Although not of
My blood or womb
In my heart
There was always room
Just know that in Life
We All pass away
Some when we're young
Some old and gray
But always remember
This is not the end
For one day we'll All
SEE YOU AGAIN!
To Nancy, Chuck, Matt, Amy, Ryan Sophia and Michael
There are no words to say to you
Only to know Dave touched so many lives and everyone that had the
pleasure of knowing him loved him.
This was plain to see the other night. And I can tell you he was loved by many especially our family and Melissa. A family as caring, loving and kind as yours is very unique in todays world.
David was so lucky to have all of you as we were all lucky to have him.....and even though he went long before his time, I can tell you he was so loved. I truly believe he and Melissa shared a very special kind of love. A single heart that beats for two has truly been shattered. A part of her died as well that day.
Although this has been difficult for her to go on, She has said without all of you she probably would not have. I must thank you for your compassion and love you have all shown her. At a time like this I do not know how.
This just shows how truly special
your family is and how grateful I am that David was blessed with all of you.
With my deepest and heartfelt sympathy,
Renee Meehan

First I would like to give my deepest sympathy to the Blakeslee Family. I cannot imagine the pain you are going through loosing such a spirited son so young. Dave was one of the greatest friends I had in middle and high school. He always made me laugh and always was there to protect me when the other kids were not so nice. He was so talented with his music and that talent is going to keep him alive in all of us. I knwo I will greatly miss Dave and everything he brought in life. Dave, I miss you so much and you will forever be in my heart!!!

Dave was an incredibly talented musician and kind hearted friend. I will never forget going to the freshman dance with him or sitting in his basement making up violin and piano duets, which consisted of me sitting in awe of his natural gift as a musician. To Mr.and Mrs. Blakeslee
I want to thank you for bringing such an amazing boy into the world. From the time Genna was a little girl, I used to love hearing the tales about what David Blakeslee said at school that day to make everybody laugh. He brought a bolt of sunshine into our home everytime he visited, along with a beautiful melody of music coming from our basement. He lit up any room he was in like a firecracker with his smile. My heart goes out to you both, his brother and sister and entire extended family. He will be missed dearly.

I remember all the good times growing up across the street from you guys, like all the street hockey games, jail break, run the bases, catching lightning bugs, tennis-racquet baseball, attempting to sleep outside but ending up going in, eating toasted peanutbutter and jelly sandwiches, biking in the woods, trick-or-treating to name only a few of the adventures we all had living on Lorne Road.
My prayers are with your family! stay up! and Dave "you da man" love always, Justin Rodgers

Dave was by far one of the funniest, most talented and amazing people I knew. We were best friends growing up together playing sports and hanging out all the time when we were little kids. He would always try and teach me how to play instruments whenever we would hang out in his basement, even though i was terrible at them it was always so much fun to be around him. I couldn't believe it when I heard of his passing. My heart goes out to the entire Blakeslee family and I will always remember Dave as one of my best friends.

I am so sorry for your loss. Dave was such an amazing and loving person. I knew him through many high school classes. I can remember Dave coming to psychology class every day during our senior year and just always making me and everyone around him laugh. He always had a smile on his face and was so affectionate to everyone. If you were having a bad day, Dave was the type of person to offer you a warm hug and make you laugh with his infectious sense of humor. It breaks my heart to hear of this tradegy.

I've known Dave since kindergarden and since then, I've never done anything but smile around him because thats the kinda person he was. Always had to make everyone laugh. I have so many memories with Dave of him teasing me saying "I can play piano better than you" a million times over and over and dancing to Outkast like no one else I know. I'll miss him forever and think about him everyday. He'll always be in my heart and everyone else's as well. That's the effect he's had on me my whole life, so there's no stopping that now. He may be in a better place now, but his spirit will always light up the room. To Mr & Mrs. Blakeslee and the rest of his family and friends, I'm terribly sorry for your loss. I will always think of him.

First off I'd like to offer my condolences to the Blakeslee's. My thoughts and prayers will be with you. I've knew Dave throughout grade school, middle school, graduated high school with him, and continued friendship with him after high school. There are wayyyy too many memories of Dave through so many years to recount in a short paragraph. Though his physical presence has been taken away very suddenly, his spirit captivated me and so many others and it will continue to live on through the countless people he has touched- especially his family and friends. Dave was anything but ordinary. Not a day will go by that I won't think of him and his amazing, outgoing nature, and ability to always make me laugh even on the worst days. He was such a wonderful gift to the world, and I really believe he will continue to be in memory.
Love You Dave, and miss you terribly. <3
