Joey was not only my best friend, he was everything I could ask for in a person. I understand that everyone has a part of him, but 20 years of friendship goes a long way. I will miss him everyday I am still here on this earth. I have so many great & fun memories of him. Sometimes I feel like I can't go on, I can hear him telling me to keep on trucking. He never let me down when I needed him. I loved him with my whole heart. I can feel him watching over me. It's like he is standing right next to me. I will miss him so much

To Joey's wonderful family... our heartfelt prayers are coming your way. We had the pleasure of knowing Joey for the last few years and it would not have been the same without his goofy, smiling, almost innocent childlike aura. Joey always raved the food and drinks he got from our house abd offered his help and an ear whenever needed. He was there for both of us - always a phone call away. He'd always talk so highly of George, saying he was like a brother to him, and I know George thought just as much of him. We'll never forget Joey's smiling quirkiness... and when he asked for a lift some where's and says it's "just a little ways", be prepared to drive all over NJ and back! Joey was such a warm and joyous individual - you did a wonderful, wonderful job raising him into the non-judgmentel, friendly, honest, and humorous young man he became. He was much loved and made so many special memories with many people. Our thoughts and prayers are with you, please don't hesitate to call for anything.
Joey, you are greatly loved and will be forever missed.
Always,
Lacey & George

Jeanne & Joe,
I am so sorry to hear about Joey. This must be so hard on you I can't even imagine what you are going through. I can remember all of the great times we've had at your house sitting around talking for hours eating Jeanne's wonderful nachos and Joey at that time was a young little boy and so well behaved he would just sit there and chime right in with the conversations like he was one of the adults. He was always so happy but thats because he had such wonderful parents. I miss you both very much and miss those good times. If I can't see both of you on saturday then I will make sure I call real soon. Love you, Karen Daws Templeton

JOE AND JEANNE,
DO NOT KNOW WHAT TO SAY...I AM SURE YOU BOTH KNOW HOW EVERYONE FEELS FOR YOU AND YOUR FAMILIES. I THINK ABOUT HOW LIFE WAS SO SIMPLE WHEN WE WERE ALL IN HIGH SCHOOL, LIVING 3 DOORS DOWN ON MEMORIAL AVE, AND THEN WE GREW UP, HAVE JOYOUS MOMENTS WHEN OUT KIDS ARE BORN AND UNBEARABLE MOMENTS WHEN TRAGEDY HAPPENS. I PUT MYSELF IN BOTH YOUR SHOES, AND MY HEART WILL ALWAYS ACHE. IT IS VERY HARD TO COME TO TERMS WITH THIS, AND PROBABLY ALWAYS WILL BE. PEOPLE HAVE NO IDEA...YOU HAVE TO HOLD ONTO EACH OTHER AS HARD AS YOU CAN, YOUR SON WOULD WANT THAT, TO "HEAL" TOGETHER, ALTHOUGH IT SEEMS IMPOSSIBLE. HOPEFULLY I WILL SEE YOU SOON JEANNE AND SPEND SOME TIME TOGETHER...

Dear Joe, Jeanne & Jess,
It has been 9 years now ? that we have been your neighbors. We have watched you meeting the kids off the bus, met at the mailbox to share the latest happenings with our kids, seeing Joe & Joey checking under the hood of one of Joey's "new finds", watching the boys helping Jessie train for softball season, listening to the snowmobiles firing up late at night after a snowfall and always, ALWAYS, seeing all of you doing things together as a FAMILY. You have always inspired us in the way you have raised your children. It is not every family that can say they have kids that really love to spend time with their Mom & Dad. But you managed to capture that which is so rare. Jessie Jessica!, we know that this is the hardest thing you will ever face and if we can help in any way, just come on over!
Jeanne & Joe- My heart aches whenever I stop and the reminder is there of what has happened. But then I tell myself, as I told you, Jeanne, that you are amazing parents for these kids and Joey left this world knowing he was LOVED by all of you....and so many friends and family who have been posting, coming by the house and beeping as they drive by.
You have done your job by your kids. They grew up knowing they are loved unconditionally and what greater gift can you give to your child?
Take comfort in knowing that although Joey's time here was not nearly long enough, you gave him and Jessie your all. And who knows what adventures are ahead with Jessie and Marissa! :
I wish that I could be there for the services but I will be out of town. My wholehearted condolances, hugs and tears will be with you in the days ahead. You can always drop off that drawerful of photos anytime that you are ready, Jeanne!
We love you all and admire all that you have accomplished and will continue to do so as a family.
Our very best- The Campbells
