Aunt Ella was a very special woman, as everyone knows. She brought a smile to eveyone's face by just being in the same room with them. I will miss her dearly and wish that I could have spent more time with her. I will always remember the great times we had when I was a kid going to Aunt Ella's house. I loved going in her "big" built-in pool, swimming and jumping off the diving board sometimes with Bridget the German Shepherd. Mom, Dad, Aunt Ella & Uncle Joe would sit by the pool watching us while sipping cocktails, sometimes those Long Island Iced Teas would get to Aunt Ella and there went dinner!! Many times the day would end with Aunt Ella and my dad having heated discussions about politics he was a Republican. I would also look forward to our family trips to Great Adventure, Hershey Park and Bush Gardens every summer. We had such a good time going on the roller coasters with Aunt Ella. She would never miss a good roller coaster ride especially the ones that went backwards or upside down!! Aunt Ella had plenty of reasons to be a sour-puss but instead she always looked on the bright side of things. She was always there when you needed her, no matter what. She had an infectious laugh that you could not ignore. She was "One of a Kind" and I feel lucky to have been a part of her life! She will always be in our hearts.

Apologize for the second post in the geust book. There were two more things I wanted to mention. Because she was such an inspiration to me, it was a wonderful and unexpected priveledge to be asked, by Joyce, to be a Pawl Bearer for the ceremony, it was a simple twist of fate that will always mean alot to me. Lastly, my wife Kathy was upset about not feeling well and missing the ceremony, in the short time she knew Auntie Ella, as usual, she made a big impression on her, by welcoming her open armed into a family that was so long established and making her feel right at home. The Irish connection might have had something to do with that as well...as she was heard to say, "ah another one on my side to deal with these Itralions!"

Life speeds by in the blink of an eye. We only seem to realize that when much of it has been put behind us. That is the reason to make the most of it. Aunt Ella did. Though we did not see her as often as we would've like to because the miles separated us, we were tied by a family bond that remains forever. In the times we did spend together she left an indelible mark. She, through her own way of dealing with life gave me strength in my own times of trouble. There are no Pro ball players or movie stars that are heros to me, there are only my Aunts and Uncles, Mother and Father, a generation that built a foundation and a heritage that will live on forever in us, our children and our childrens children and hopefully so on.....in this it is how she and they will live forever. I could go on, but I think you all know what I mean. We will miss you Aunt Ellamae, but at the same time we will smile for you are still with us always and forever. Love Kathy,Guy,Kristine, Dana, Lisa and Meghan Gioia

I will always remember Aunt auntie Ella for her great smile and generous laugh. She was loud and happy and sweet to us all. As sick as she was over the past several years, she always had a warm smile and happy attitude. We will all miss her deeply.
