My heartfelt sympathy is with Beverly and Neil and their families in the passing of their mom/grandmother and my Aunt Marie. I am sorry I was not able to attend the funeral, but my thoughts and prayers were with you last Friday.
I have many fond memories of my Aunt Marie and the summer weeks I spent in NJ, along with each Christmas in Florida growing up. She was a very good cook, seamstress, always had a smile on her face, was quick to offer money for us to buy penny candy treats at the little store, took me to the pool, cooked Jersey corn on the cob in less than 5 minutes, had the best ice cream in her home freezer, took us to Philly to shop for fall school clothes, took us to buy fabric to sew something new, allowed Beverly and I to walk to Grants to buy nail polish etc, and chose really neat Christmas presents.
I often heard my mom saying that her sister, my Aunt Marie, was a super school teacher and played beautiful music in her spare time.
My Aunt Marie will be missed very much as is her sister, my Mom. I hope they will find each other in heaven and be at peace and happy.
I send my wishes in hoping you all will find comfort and love in remembering the wonderful memories of your mom and grandmother. She was a great Aunt.
