We were very saddened when we heard the news. We know your dad was always smiling...asking how we are..or just wanting to help. We just hope that you keep his spirit and his stories alive to the children. They all now have a wonderful pop pop guardian angel. They are the hardest to get...but it can make you feel safe at any time. Call if you need anything! All our love and prayers to you all.

Dear Durnan Family,
I had the pleasure of knowing Mr. Durnan for most of my life. He worked with my father as a printer at Chilton Publishing in Philadelphia. Mr. Durnan & my Dad then went to school to become blackjack dealers.
Never having played organized basketball, Mr. Durnan and Bryan taught me how to be a team player as Mr. Durnan coached our team with Washington Township Parks & Recreation. We didn't win many games, but Mr. Durnan emphasized team play along with being good kids, both on & off the court.
As luck would have it, I would interact with Mr. Durnan for years to come at Sts. Peter & Paul Church & at the WT Public Works garage. Never an opportunity went by when he sought a person out and genuinely checked to see how the "family was doing."
I saw first-hand how Mr. Durnan was such a loving husband, father, grandfather, colleague and coach. He epitomizes the term "caring."
There's no doubt that Mr. Durnan is now seated at the right hand of the Lord.
God bless Mr. Durnan and his family.
- Frank Gurcsik & Family
