We were very saddened to hear of Mark's passing. Mark never failed to make me laugh at any family gathering, and I'll never forget the time he surprised Anne and I in the parking lot of a church at a wedding Anne and I were in town to attend. No sooner did we park the car but this guy in a postal uniform gets out of his truck with a crazy look in his eyes. No need to worry, just Mark being Mark. I'm sure he has St. Peter laughing as I write. Ann and Dana, our thoughts and prayers are with you. --Cousin Mike, Anne, and Katie

Ann and Dana Kiddo,
After attending such a wonderful service to your husband and dad all we can say is that you really paid a great tribute to such a wonderful person. We hope that you can carry a wonderful picture in your mind and spirit about how much he cared about you along with everyone else he was truly loved by so many people. He would want you both to keep smiling no matter how hard it may be right now. Marko was the kind of guy that also wanted to leave you laughing and would be upset it you did not laugh and care about others. We know that right now he would be wanting us all to look at life as hard as it is and just say you rotten bas..... life is not that bad... Live life to the fullest!!!! He did so we should too!!!!

Dearest Mark,
I know you are looking down from your new "home" and watching all of us, especially, Dana and Ann. Words cannot express all the emotions I am feeling at this time. Growing up with you in our household was a treasure, there was never a dull moment. When times were hard and difficult, you always brought"sunshine" on all life's experiences. Some of my fondest and not-so-fondest memories of my childhood with you are as follows. 1. Riding the hamper down the stair steps.
2. Playing football for EOM with us on the sidelines cheering.
3. Climbing the hallway walls like Spiderman and getting stuck in the ceiling.
4. Your fingers getting stuck in the electric mixer and Helen and I screaming, "Oh, No " while you yelled, "Pull the plug out!"
5. Our dog, Nipper,bit the seminarian's finger...
6. Mom's famous homemade Halloween costume that won 1st prize in the contest. You dressed as a "table"!
7. Hiding under the bed ,so Dad couldn't find you, but he always did.
8. Night class at Community College and all the girls after your "homework".
9. The army helmets at Christmas time while marching, singing and dancing.
10. At Aunt Helena's party when she shaved your head and we had our family portrait taken the very next day;boy, were you in trouble.
11. Imitating Elvis and singing like Mick Jagger.
12. Trying to catch the raccoon at the campground.
There's a special relationship between brothers and sisters. They can be like identical twins yet completely different and we had this wonderful relationship. Mark, for these and many more memories, too numerous to mention, I am truly grateful. I thank God for the time you had on Earth. However, I am ever so thankful for the memories which are treasured in my heart forever. Until we meet again, we will take care of Ann and Dana. Love You Always, May XXXOOO
P.S. Are you playing with my cellar lights?

May you also find comfort in knowing that we love you both and are always here. Love You Always,

Ann and Dana,
I remember when I first met Mark and Dana way back in 1999. Who knew then that Dana would help us win a soccer championship her first season with the Smashers and all the great times we'd spend together over the years? I still remember her jumping into my arms after we won. She was such a big part of the team. It was a real pleasure to coach her for 6 years.
Many years have passed. Many parties and get-togethers have come and gone. We will remember the good times because there were so many.
If there is anything that Carol, Lauren or I can do, please don't hesitate to call upon us. We loved Mark and love the two of you. Count on us for our support. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers.

Our dear friend Mark left us much too soon. He was a man who loved his family and life so much. His heart was large; his sense of humor enormous. Mark never had an unkind word for anyone. He always looked on the bright side and you couldn't help but be positive when you were with him. His comic genius and impeccable timing drew us to him. His laughter was contagious. He was just fun to be around.
How many nights we spent away at soccer tournaments laughing all night. They were some of the best times we had. Of course, Mark was at the center of it. We managed when he wasn't there but it was always way better when he was there. I will never forget the nights that Ron, Tony, and I spent carousing with Mark.
It was ridiculous how easily he could make us laugh. Whether he was putting on the Lion King mask, plotting a "break-in" with "the Captain" to borrow an oversized wine bottle from the hotel restaurant, plotting with Tony to move a large potted plant from the lobby to the front of my hotel room door, getting Ed to give us all of the sensitive details of defense satellite systems at 2:30 AM after swearing he couldn't tell us anything about that stuff, helping to orchestrate placing an actual lifeguard chair into the outdoor hotel pool in Wildwood, or any number of outrageous but harmless pranks, Mark found a way to make us laugh. And laugh. And laugh some more.
We won't soon forget our friend. He left us much too soon. But we will always remember the kind, gentle, loving and lovable person he was to all of us.
Rest well, dear friend.

Growing up with you was an adventure. With all the crazy experiences, I always felt safe because you went out of your way to be my protector. You have taught me to love life and laugh. I will always cherish those times cheering you on at the EOM football field, hanging out with your friends down the basement listening to David Bowie and the Doors, our very special house guest...Walt, sparkle shoes, prom, annual Christmas in July at Uncle John's house, Christmas at the Myers'house with "Ring of Fire" and "Grandma got run over by a reindeer". so many memories with my favorites being your wedding{Ann,an awesome sister-in-law}, the birth of your daughter,Dana. she is truly amazing...you have taught her well.
Mark, it was an honor and a privilige to have been your sister. you were always there for me and my family. Heaven must have been running low on jokes and hearty laughter....love, Helen
