Dear Aunt Edna, I miss you so much. I have been feeling so alone with everythng going on. You were always the one who would call, wanting to know how we were and if there was anything you could do to help. Nicole & Mark brought over some of your furniture and I find myself sitting in your recliner thinking of you, feeling you around me. I know that you are looking out for us from above, along with the other 1/2 of my family. I can not believe that you saved that doll along with the certificate and original box for me. I hope that you enjoyed owning it as long as you did. I cherish you and all the wonderful memories I have of you. You stepped up when I lost my parents, and I felt that you could not love me or Damien more if you had given birth to us. You were always more than an aunt to me and my son. I love you shortcake and will miss you the rest of my life.

Edna, It's two o'clock Friday morning, the girls and Doreen are sleeping. I can't sleep when I see my wife and girls hurting so much. While sitting here, I starting thinking about your impact on my life. You showed me love and kindness from day one. Everytime I was sick or hurt basketball, you would call to see how I was feeling. On my birthday, you were the first person to call.I felt like I was your son because you alway treated me that way. You gave me the love of my life, your beautiful daughter. I will always love and miss you.

Well, Aunt Edna. I got home a little bit ago from your funeral service. I don't think you had any idea how many lives you touched or how much you are loved. It was a beautiful service and I know you are proud of the way your family handled themselves. When I looked around during the pastor's tribute, I don't think there was a dry eye in the place. You were loved by so many and were always the first one to offer any help you could to all of us. My life and Damien's were enriched because you were in it. We were blessed to have you as an Aunt, although you really were so much more than that to me. I will miss you the rest of my life, and take comfort in the wonderful memories that I have of you, as well as knowing that you will continue to look out for all of us from above. I hope the other 1/2 of my family made a great party for your arrival. You certainly deserve it! I love you Shortcake, kiss my family and Mary for me....I will see you again!

The thing I remember most about Aunt Edna, was her love for animals. She always had lots of cats. I loved to visit her because I am also a cat lover. I also remember that she always had Golden Grahams!!! One of my favorite cereals. In fact, I think it was her that got me into them. And yes, I remember "Mama knows, mama knows" VERY WELL!! As if it were yesterday.
She will be dearly missed, but I know she is happy where she is now. Seeing Mary again was something she couldn't wait for. Rest in peace Aunt Edna, I will see you again in the future.

My heartfelt condolences to Edna's children and grandchildren. My Aunt Edna was so very special to me. She was a very special person in my life for a long time. I have loved her from childhood and will love her forever. She was not only my Aunt but, a very good friend and at times my confidant. I will miss her terribly. She has made me laugh out loud so very many times. God Bless her beautiful soul.

"MAMA KNOWS, MAMA KNOWS!!" Michele was also there for that one.
"Dor, shut the door!"
I already miss our little 4-way birthday phone calls between Michele my sis, Aunt Edna, Pat my dad, & me. Our birthdays are the 1st, 3rd, 3rd, & 6th, so every year, we would all be calling each other & leaving messages & asking each other if we got the call & laughing about it. She would just come out of nowhere with something to crack us up...usually pertaining to her being either mad or freaked about something. We are all hurting, but it eases my heart to know that she is now with her daughter, Mary who she adored & has been grieving for, during the past 4 yrs. I we all will miss Aunt Edna very much. I we all love her very much. She was a funny little lady!

Dear Doreen & family, Nicole & Mark, Vic & family, as you know I love your Mom/Grandmom very much. When I was a kid, she lived with us, and I thought she was my "big" sister. As I went through my childhood, I loved her as my funny, spunky, dependable Aunt. Later in life when I lost my parents, she became a second Mom to me. I gave her the nickname shortcake, which she really liked, Although I think Punky P-nut would have suited her better. She meant the world to me and Damien and we will miss her terribly. My only consolation is that she was not sick and suffering and I know that she is with her beloved Mary now. I am sure that Mary, Uncle Tony, Aunt Florie, Uncle Rich, Richie, Aunt Mary and all her family on the other side are with her now. I know she loved us all, when she loved you, you surely knew it!! Take care of yourselves and your loved ones. I know she will be looking out for all of us as she did in this life. I love you all...Your Cuz....Pat

doreen, george, victor and everyone in her family,
I worked with edna for many years at the awa and as i try to think of a more caring individual no one comes to mind. Her selflessness not only of animals but of more unfortunate people was without a doubt her most endearing quality. Short of stature but big on heart this woman will never be forgotten by me or the people who knew her. My sympathies to her family and friends.

Our family was blessed when "Miss Iggy" came into it 13 years ago. She was an amazing part of our family and her love and wisdom nurtured our daughter. Without Edna, our lives would be very different. Thank you Miss Iggy for helping to raise Mary and for giving us Snowflake...our wonderful cat. I hope you know that you will be missed but never forgotten.

I used to work with Edna at AWA and we shared a lot of laughs. She always put her 4 legged babies first before herself and was the best dog house breaker in the world! If Iggy couldn't do it, it couldn't be done. I think she was the most honest person I have ever known. I hope memories of her bring a simle to all who loved her. She was one of a kind!
