I am very sorry to the family for your loss. I did not know Mrs. Diedel personally, but my husband Craig cared for her at Meadowview. He spoke about her often. We often made cheesecake for her which she was always so happy to receive. When i make cheesecake i will always think of her! God bless.

There are some of us who possess a few more quirks than others. A mother loves you in spite of those and can even make you feel special for having them. That is the way Ellie made me feel. Watching her smile light up her face as she would say to me, "Donna, you are so wierd", really warmed me. There were many times in my life when things at home were very difficult for me. My own mom not being able to escape it, I myself would flee. Many of those times fleeing in tears, angry or afraid I never had to be alone. I only had to run two blocks to find refuge and caring. I ran to the house of my best friend from the time I was 8 years old. My best friend whose mother let me sleep there so much the neighbors thought I was a family member. I did even have my own burea space Whose mother took the heat when I made fun of other kids and adults or got caught soaping cars. The mother who took the heat when I offered an empty string bean can up and asked for donations for the Lesbian Assoc. from the two women who lived down the street. arm in arm with Dee of course The mom who heard "clunk" as I set down my bag of overnight stuff and just took out the bottle of Schnapp's and still let me sleep over. It was also funny how each Christmas she would get a cool outfit a size to small for Kim or Dee and have to give it to me. Some one who was always there for me through the good and bad of it all. Some one I will miss terribly, espically since my own mother just passed away July 9th. Ellie was like a mother to me. I'm sure she never quite understood me,but she loved me just the same.

I would just like to i am sorry for the loss. Ellie was such a nice person. I'll never forget the times she used to babysit me, my brother, and sister. Peanut butter and jelly sandwiches and chocholate milk, that was my favorite lunch. I'll also never forget the time i broke all her brand new siding for the house. I thought i was the karate kid and chopped them. That still makes me laugh. She was mad but she took it easy on me. My dad didnt though. Ellie was deffinitly one of the nicest people in the world. God bless. Im once again sorry, and R.I.P. Ella E. Diedel

Dearest Dee and Ryan, The loss of a parent is one we all can share. Your Mom/Grandmom will be missed by all that knew her. She was a fighter but the Lord was ready for her to go home. She is at peace now. You are in my thoughts and prayers. Sincerely your friend, Carla

Dear Ellie's Family, It has been a long road but one she fought hard through. She touched so many more lives than she will ever know through her generosity. The clothes she donated to "The Missionary Barrel" helped more women that otherwise would not have. My husband will remember how she left the green stems on his chocolate covered strawberries so he could hold them. yummy And I too will remember her. Psalm 116:15 says: Precious in the sight of the Lord is the death of his saints. My prayers are with all of you. Sincerely, Carla

Dee,Kim,Debbie,Kristi,Jimmy, Big Jim and extended family:
I am so sad about the passing of Ellie. However I know she is in a better place with no suffering. I will miss her greatly. She was not only a big part of my life but also my kids who tortured her through the years she babysat for me. I will never forget the time she called me at work when Little Shawn was about 4. She said "Terry what the h""" is scril chiz, I told her it was grilled cheese. It was hilarious. Just one of many memories I will cherish. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
Love Always
Terry
