Dear Ed, You would think with all the trips to the diner and all the cups of coffee we had that we talked about almost everything. Not so. I never said thank you for being such a wonderful Grandfather and Father-in-law to me. Thank you for twenty five years of friendship that I will carry with me in my heart forever. God bless you Ed, I will miss you everyday. With Love Your Daughter-in-Law, Sue

We would like to thank everyone who visited, sent cards and flowers, made phone calls, and posted to this memorial. We will be forever grateful for the love and respect that was shown to our father and mother during this time.
Dad was a very humble man who enjoyed the simple things in life. Going to Dunkin Donuts with his grandson or having lunch at the Diner with his daughter-in-law meant the world to him. He didn't ask for much.
When his doctors insisted he have his surgery right away, he refused. You see, his grandson Mikey was getting married, and Dad would not hear of it when he was told it may not be wise for him to fly down to Florida. But he went, because he lived for his grandchildren, and this was more important than anything.
As for my mother, she was always his biggest concern. The last day we spoke to him he wanted to make sure she was ok. Yes, even in spite of everything going on with his health he needed to be sure she was ok.
His burial was one of honor and respect that he never would have imagined. We have to believe he was looking down on us in amazement that all this was for him. He would have thought "Wow, this must all be for someone important!!".
Yes, Dad, it was for someone important.
We love you and miss you.

God Bless you and May you Rest in Peace.
Now you can eat all the macaroni you want without anyone sneaking any garlic in, you can drink all the coffee you want, and no one will tell you to be careful that you're overdoing it.
I miss you and hope you are finally at peace.
Love from your wife,
May
