Dear Claire and Evan,
My deepest sympathy on the loss of a husband and father. I worked with Bill for only a short time, but very quickly became friends with him. He always had a smile on his face and was so kind and caring. My son and Evan are the same age, so we would make runs to BabiesRus and Target to get the baby supplies we both needed. During those runs we would chat about life with a new baby in the house. He was always so proud telling me the latest Evan story, or a story of bowling, golfing, or one of his wood projects. After Bill left the company, we kept in touch via IM and email. Some of his last emails and IM's he was in a lot of pain, but he always wanted to know how my family was doing and he would express his concern that he was a burden on his family. I will always remember Bill as that person who always was thinking of others rather than himself. One of my favorite church services is one that we discussed Angels among us, and that is how I will think of Bill... he is now an Angel among us.
May God Bless you both and your family.

Dear Claire, Evan and all of the Gibbs and Essig family members,
It must be true that the good die young. Bill was one of the sweetest, kindest, human beings we have had the privilege of knowing. Heaven does have a new angel and I know he will be watching over all of us. We will always remember his smile and positive attitude. We will always admire him for his courage and strength. You will all be in our thoughts and prayers. May the love of family and friends lend you all the support you need to get through this difficult time. You know you can call on us if there is ANYTHING we can do to help. All our love,

Claire and family, I am really at a lost for words, all I can think of is "Bill was one in a million". There will never be another like him, and the best friend anyone could of had. I feel blessed that I had the opportunity to be his friend and to have his friendship over the years. Bills strength and optimism thru the hard times has truly been an inspiration and never be forgotten. My deepest sympathy to you and all your family.

I am very sorry to learn of your loss. The neighborhood will not be the same without Bill. I can honestly say he was one of the nicest people I had the pleasure of knowing.
