Foss,
Ours prayers go out to you and yours family. Just thinking of the stories that April, Dee, Karen would talk about that Cruiser did as they grow up. Hanging the teacher out the window was my favorite to hear them talk about. Our Deepest Sympathy to you Foss and Cruiser Jr.,Thomas, Jeff. and the grand kids.
With Love,

When cousin Cruiser and I were young, we fought like cats and dogs. One weekend at our grandparents' farm, Cruiser hit me and knocked the wind out of me. I came in the house crying. My dad said, ?Don't come in here crying unless you're willing to hit him back.? Next time, it was Cruiser who came in crying.
Growing up, Cruiser and I were extremely close. We lived just a few doors apart, so we always attended the same schools. We were the same age, so we were always in the same class. And being named Barnes and Baxter, we always sat together in alphabetical order.
My family was part of Cruiser's extended family. When I grew up and moved away, Cruiser continued to look in on my mom, dad, and sister and take care of the needs I couldn't take care of from halfway across the country.
Rest in peace, Cruiser. The family will be much smaller without you.

He was called by many names, John, Cruiser, Dad, but by far his favorite was Poppop He was the best poppop any kid could have. There was not a time when we would visit, when he wasn't on the floor rolling around with his grandchildren like a big kid himself. It didn't matter if he was making funny faces, strange noises, or playing a simple game of peek a boo, there was always a huge smile on both the kids face and dads. Whether it was playing trains, listening to music, or feeding the fish in the pond, it was always with poppop where you would find the kids. He will not be easily forgotten. He will live on in all the silly stories he told , the crazy things he did, and the way the kids faces lite up each time you utter the name Poppop.

Dear Floss,
We are all greatly saddened by the news of Cruiser's transition. Although we all knew it was a incredibly difficult fight for Cruiser, we were hoping against hope that another outcome was possible. We also know that now Cruiser is a peace and pain free, enjoying his new home. He will always be with you in love and spirit.
We wish we could be there to share our condolenses in person but we are surely there in prayer and love filled thoughts.
As my favorite , older cousin, I'll always remember Cruiser with a beautiful smile, and a positive loving attitude. Floss, I felt the same about you when we met and sat together at Heath's wedding. We are all blessed to have been a part of your life together. God bless you and your family.
Love,
Jeff and Phyllis

I grew up with Cruiser and he was my precious first cousin whom I will always remember most as being so sweet, adorable and handsome. He was a joy to know and I loved him very much. He and Floss became close friends in the past ten years or so. He and I both discovered we loved gardening and water gardens in particular. We both discovered the joys of being grandparents which was surprising to me as I thought it meant you were old. The truth is that it meant you were especially happy. We shared maternal grandparents and childhood history. He was a hard worker and very conscientious. I remember when he was a super fit wrestler in high school. We were all so proud. He never lost the sweetness he had as a boy. I will miss him the rest of my life. Victor and I send our deepest sympathy to Floss and his sons and grandchildren.
