Joe, Joann, Terry and family: Your Mom was a wonderful woman, and will be missed by all of her many friends and family. When we were growing up, she always treated each of us kids with so much kindness and respect. I know that you will find comfort in your faith, and knowing that she now walks with Howie and your Dad. Until you are all together again, you will have all of your wonderful memories and carry her enduring love in your hearts with you always.

Mom, Although you have left me, and there will always be a void in my life without you, because of your strength, your love of family and your love of God, I will carry on as you were able to in life. During the darkest times in my life, when I felt that there was no hope, you helped me to find that hope and to see that there was always a light at the end of the tunnel. Your example as a loving mother has inspired me to become the best mother that I can be. I only hope that I can set such a loving example for my own family to carry on such a devotion to their own children, the legacy of Carolyn Mayer. The greatest lesson that I will carry with me in my life is that of "All things great and small, you taught us to love them all". At last you are free, walk in love and happiness with Dad and Howie. My grandmother was one of a kind. She always brought joy and happiness into my life. She was a strong woman who never backed down for what she stood for. I always loved going over my Me-Mom's house when I was little. I always enjoyed the holidays with her. Christmas was her favorite time of year, and on Christmas Day when she would come to my house a special glow would light up the room. My Me-Mom was very special to me, she was the best grandmom anyone could ever ask for. She will be in my heart forever. She always looked at the best in everyone, especiall me. When I would complain about school, she would tell me to keep my head held high and think positive thoughts. She was very proud of me and always wanted me to succeed. Although she will not physically be there when I receive my college diploma in May, I know she will be there in spirit. I have so many wonderful and warm memories with my Me-Mom, memories that I will never forget. She is now at peace with her son and husband. One day I will be with her again by her side. I love you Me-Mom I will be seeing you!

Words can not express the love that I had for Mrs Mayer and the entire family. Although she will be missed by everyone, I know in my heart that she is at peace, being with Howie & Mr Mayer. I will never forget all the wonderful times out at the farm and how I was made to feel that I was part of the family as well."Mom Mayer I loved you with all my heart and I will never be able to fill the void of your loss"

JOANN, TERRY, AND ALL OF CAROLYN'S FAMILY MEMBERS, MY THOUGHTS AND PRAYERS ARE WITH ALL OF YOU. CAROLYN WAS A KIND AND WONDERFUL LADY. WE BECAME FRIENDS SHORTLY AFTER SHE WAS ADMITTED TO THIS FACILITY. SHE LOVED TO REMINISCE ABOUT HER FAMILY AND ALL THE GOOD TIMES THEY SHARED. CAROLYN ENJOYED TRAVELING WHEN SHE WAS ABEL. IN FACT, ONE DAY I ASK CAROLYN IF I COULD GET HER ANYTHING? SHE SAID "KATE, I WOULD LIKE A NEW PAIR OF LEGS." I LAUGHED AND SAID "I WISH I COULD GIVE THEM TO YOU." CAROLYN LAUGHED TO AND SAID "KATE, YOU ARE ALWAYS HONEST." MY LAST MEMORY OF CAROLYN IS TALKING TO MY GRAND-DAUGHTER "KATIE" ON FRIDAY 11-24-06 AROUND 4 O'CLOCK WHEN MY DAUGHTER BROUGHT THE BABY TO SEE YOUR MOM. CAROLYN SMILED AND TALKED TO KATIE.
