I'm truly sorry I wasn't fortunate enough to ever meet Mr. Sampson. However, it is through Joy and her devoted family that I feel I have gained some insight into this wonderful man and how much he is loved and will be missed. My deepest condolences for your loss.

My Dad,
As We Remember Our Loved Ones.
We can shed tears because they are gone
Or we can smile because they lived.
Our hearts can be empty because we do not see them
Or we can be full of the love we shared
We can turn our backs on tomorrow & live yesterday,
Or we can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
We can remember them & only that they are gone,
Or we can cherish their memory & let it live on
We can cry & close our minds
Be empty and turn our backs
Or we can do what they would want
& smile, open our eyes, love and go on.....................
These are words from a poem I found when my son, Jeff passed away. This poem is one of many that I have and wanted to share. I will miss my dad terribly but knowing he is with mom now gives me great comfort. He was a wonderful. loving man and father to me & my sisters & brother and will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him. May he RIP Rejoice in Paradise forever.
I love you Dad, Joy

Dear Linda,
I don't even know if I could ever find the right words to say how sorry I am for the loss of your Dad. I can only imagine the joy and comfort he felt living with you and your family and knowing how loved he was. I know how very much you loved your Dad and how you cherish the time you had taking care of him. This, we will forever have in common. You're a wonderful daughter and I'm so very proud to call you my friend. You and your family will be in my prayers and thoughts. And one more thing, Find comfort, as I did, knowing that it's us, their children who must live on their legacy for them. It's the greatest gift we could ever give back. Love you lots. Your friend, Rose

To my Dad....
HE IS GONE
You can shed tears that he is gone
or you can smile because he has lived
You can close your eyes and pray that he'll come back
or you can open your eyes and see all that he has left
Your heart can be empty because you can't see him or you can be full of the love that you shared
You can turn back on tomorrow and live yesterday or you can be happy for tomorrow because of yesterday
You can remember him and only that he is gone or you can cherish his memory and let it live on
You can cry and close your mind,be empty and turn your back or you can do what he'd want;smile, open your eyes, love and go on...

How can one mention enough how much joy and fulfillment a grandparent brings to ones life. I got the chance to know Alfred more in the past 6 months. And in those six months I was a companion to him, we talked and walked...and hung out. I enjoyed our time together very much. Cori and I love you Pop Pop. And we can all be at peace to know, that Pop Pop is not struggling anymore, but dancing in the arms of his beautiful Merce. See you in Heaven!
