Obituary of Louis C. Carola

CAROLA, Louis C.. of Washington Twsp, formerly of Deptford, passed away on July 2, 2006. Aged 85 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Louis was a resident of Oak Valley in Deptford for 47 years prior to moving to Washington Township 2 years ago. He was a longtime parishioner of St. Margaret Church in Woodbury Heights and was a member of their Senior and Mens Club. Louis was an Army Veteran of World War II and after the war was a postal clerk and shop steward for the United States Postal Service in Philadelphia and Cherry Hill. In his spare time, Louis enjoyed fishing and volunteering at the church carnival. He will be remembered as a caring, kind and mellow gentleman who loved to spend time with his family. Beloved husband of 58 years to Sofia nee Carola Devoted father of Susan and her husband Jeff Jacobs, Louis Carola and his wife, Bonnie, Regina Carola and Joseph Carola and his wife, Karen. Dear Brother of Paul, Edward and Lawrence Carola, Caroline Advena and the late Joseph Carola. Loving grandfather of Christopher, Lauren, David, Brian and Thomas Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at 11:00 AM at St. Margaret Church, Third Street and Beech Avenue, Woodbury Heights, where there will be a visitation from 9:45 AM.. Interment will follow at New St. Mary?s Cemetery, Bellmawr, NJ.
