McGOVERN, Catherine E. ?Cas? Nee Smith of Leesburg, VA, formerly of West Deptford, on June 28, 2006. Aged 83 years. Born in Philadelphia, PA, Cas was a longtime resident of West Deptford before moving to Leesburg 9 years ago. She was a cafeteria worker for West Deptford High School for many years. In her spare time, Cas enjoyed crocheting, dancing and taking train trips to Louisiana and California. She was also an avid gardener. Her greatest enjoyment in life was spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Her family will always remember her dry wit and laughter. Beloved wife of the late John J. "Jack" McGovern. Devoted mother of Dr. John J. McGovern of Richmond, VA, Christopher Joan McGovern of Sewell, and Mary Jane Tim Davis of Sterling, VA.
