Dear Megan, Mike, and Mark, I remember your mom for her love of family and passion for getting everyone together. She was generous to host the extended family in your family’s home. I specifically remember an extended family reunion event during a summer where she had brought every possible group activity equipment to the event, and engaged all the generations together. My kids, Kehvon and Taraneh, got to meet many cousins for the first time at an event that Donna had spearheaded. Your mom’s lively spirit was contagious, and this is how she will be remembered. I am saddened to learn of Donna’s passing. Donna was a warm and welcoming neighbor. She was always easy to talk to and most definitely shared many laughs. In the past few years, the communications I had with Donna, always included her admiration for her children and when the word grandchildren was mentioned, she melted. To the family, I hope you keep your mom’s/Donna’s smile, fond memories of her giving nature, and the sound of her laughter deep in your mind and heart. To all of Donna’s friends, keep her kind mannerisms, laughter and gift of enjoyable conversations, with you always. I am stunned to read of Donna’s passing. We were great friends in high school, going to mixers at Bergen Catholic, sleigh riding at Tammy Brook CC and generally learning about life and boys together. We reconnected in the past few years and those memories came flooding back with hopes of creating new ones. She was fiercely proud of her children and especially her grands. Donna had a zest for living and for laughter and practical jokes. I shall miss my friend and shall laugh when I see adolescents on sleds and remembering all those trees we narrowly missed.
