Obituary of Muriel A. Archibald

Muriel Adele Powell was born on March 12, 1908 in Mount Vernon, NY. She was the oldest daughter of Adele and James Powell. She had one brother Robert Orris ?Brother? Powell and four sisters; Arlene ?Leanie? Powell Potter, Ethel ?Eppie? Powell Richardson, Vivian ?Dink? Powell Wright and Dorothy ?Dottie? Powell Jones; all who have predeceased her. Muriel is the former wife of the late Verna Archibald and the mother of the late Sylvia Worrill. Muriel was a pediatric nurse at Montefiore Hospital in Bronx, N.Y. She lived in Mount Vernon and Bronx, NY and later moved to New Jersey in the 1990?s. The last years of her life were spent in Pitman Manor Retirement Home. Muriel?s greatest joys were spending time with her large extended family, where she was affectionately known as ?Nan? and ?Aunty Moo? She is survived by her son in law, Walter Worrill. Grandson;H. Brian Suzanne Henderson. Great grandchildren; Toni, Danielle Dennis, Brian Weida, William, Rachel, Elizabeth and Samantha. And 10 Great-great grandchildren. Friends may call Wednesday from 2 to 4 PM in the McGUINNESS FUNERAL HOME, 573 Egg Harbor Road, Washington Twp., NJ and on Thursday after 11 AM Thursday in SS Clement & John Paul Episcopal Church 126 S. 9th Street, Mt.
