Debbie and family,
I am so sorry for your lose. Mike has definately left an unforgetable mark on everyones heart. I have to say we are very thankful to have had the chance to know him. All the little things come to mind when we are left behind.
Some things will just never be forgotten, like his smile, his kindness, the vision of him playing ball with his boys and mine. I can picture the big wave he would give from the front step everytime we passed by or pulled up at my dads. We have lost a good neighbor and the boys have lost a good friend, but we will never lose the memories we have.
It is the good memories that help to make it easier and bring a smile or a giggle out. For whatever reason, God wanted to call him home so he did. We are always left to deal with the pain, but we should remember that they have no more pain and the new life they are beginning is so beautiful and pain free. Its happiness we always want for each other when we struggle with our daily lives, well now it is happiness they have.
Someday we will all be together again and it will be a beautiful eternity with no worries. God will keep him safe now and forever.
I hope you can be strong, it will be a long hard road and if there is anything at all our family can do for yours don't ever hesitate to ask.
