I only knew Msgr. Gaffney when he filled in for our priests at St. Paul's, Stone Harbor. He was always so kindly, caring - a true "gentle" man, always offering whatever help he could when needed. I will be remembering him in my prayers.

Friends are special people who accept the way we are. They stand by us in trouble or when we're shining our best as a star.
Our relatives and family are ours because of birth, but friends we pick and choose because their folks of special worth. As we go through life we realize our friends become more dear. We consider them our blessings each time we add a year. Msgr. Gaffney
was the best! We send our sympathies and wishes of peace to Monsignor's family. Sincerely, Roman & Andrea Zacharko & Family

Dear Family of Msgr. Gaffney,
My deepest prayers and sympathy on your lost and on the lost to our diocese. Personally, I have lost a great friend. We shared many years of friendship and a shared enjoyment of the Sport of Kings. I have wonderful memories of those years. He was a dedicated priest and a wonderful friend to many. He loved his family, he loved his priesthood, and he loved the banks of his own lovely Lee. May he rest in peace.

Dear Family of Msgr. Gaffney
My sincere condolences during this very special time of remembrance. I was saddened to hear of Msgr. Gaffney's passing. On behalf of my Mother, Mary Frances McGuinness Holt, I will offer a special prayer. If she were able-- she would dash over to church and start a novena. Many wonderful times were shared at St. Patrick's Church. Thanks for those special sacraments like First Holy Communion and family Baptisms. Rest in Peace, Monsignor.
