It has been more than three weeks since God has taken this sweet little woman home. We sit and wait for that day to arrive when our broken hearts stop feeling such a deep pain. We stare at her picture only wishing we could have the chance to talk to her one more time. When those times arise when we have good news and we want to tell her, an empty space appears and the news doesn?t seem as good. When we have a problem and we need her advise, we aren?t quite sure if we are making the right decision. When hard times hit us and we need those strong words of support to keep us going, we fall short and once again run to her photo in hope that she hasn?t gone too far. But after each of these things happen to us we without even realizing, we receive another gift from her. And we use that gift just because it?s is so powerful a gift it takes over. What a wonderful surprise to realize she hasn?t left us. If we want to talk to her we call a brother or sister. If we need her advise we email a brother or sister. If we need her strength we go see a brother or sister. If we have to drive past our once very busy home that now sits empty, we just go to our hearts where that house is still full of kids, laughter, tears, fights & love. She must be so proud up there. And probably as she is looking down on us she has received a few surprises from a few of us that I am sure put a smile on her beautiful angle face. Thank you Mom for giving us each other to enjoy the rest of our lives with. We have plenty of wonderful memories between us gifts to keep you here forever. We still miss you but I think I can speak for us all, we will talk to you or see you later today in either Ricky, Kathy, Anthony, Robby, Larry, Sammy, Diana, Michael, Denise, Bernadette, Ave, Dion or Philip. But please don?t expect too much from us just yet. It seems like the tears are endless for some of us, but really they are tears of gratitude for what seems to be a short moment in time of having you as our beautiful, loving Mother. We are the lucky ones. Thank you for your heart.

I am home in Heaven, dear ones;
Oh, so happy and so bright!
There is perfect joy and beauty
In this everlasting light.
All the pain and grief is over,
Every restless tossing passed;
I am now at peace forever,
Safely home in Heaven at last.
And He came Himself to meet me
In that way so hard to tread:
And with Jesus' arm to lean on,
Could I have one doubt or dread?
Then you must not grieve so sorely,
For I love you dearly still;
Try to look beyond earth's shadows,
Pray to trust our Father's Will.
There is work still waiting for you,
So you must not idly stand;
Do it now, while life remaineth -
You shall rest in Jesus' land.
When that work is all completed,
He will gladly call you Home;
Oh, the rapture of that meeting,
Oh, the joy to see you come!
I will dwell in the House of the Lord for years to come!

I had the pleasure of reciving my mothers guest book, And I read a pasage in it that I thought I would share to one of my sisters. It's difficult when someone who is loved cannot be there. But memories that are made and shared will keep a loved one near. And God, with loving wisdom,will be there to guide us through; He'll help us meet tomorrow and He'll give us strength anew. Dear Maria,
Being born into a family of 14 children was a gift that could only a very special woman would give. We all learned a great deal from her. I myself watched her give all her heart to us in every action and thought with everything she did. Her place in heaven was set aside for her from the day she was born. She tried her best to raise us all to make sure that after we lived our lives by her teachings we would be there with her in the spot she saved for us in heaven as she gave birth to each & every one of us. Our Mother gave us all unconditional Love & offered it to us freely. You being the first born had the pleasure of watching us all come into this world and witness each miracle she performed. I know that as you think back on our years of laughter, parties, trips to the mountains, fishing trips, Daddy?s projects & Mommy?s endless cooking days the tears will flow for not being able to see her before God called her home. She now knows all reasons for all things we have done in our lives & as usual she accepts out decisions with tremendous love that will never die. But now we have the gift of a very special guardian angle. She is watching over us all now but with more power & strength because she is in heaven. She will continue to make sure that our hearts stay pure & our conscious be our guide in our lives here on earth. Take care our yourself & remember always how very special her love is & how much she loved you up to her very last day here on earth.
Your sister

Our Mother of Fourteen
Born with joyful spirit,
A Girl named Kathleen,
Who lived her life with dignity,
Our Mother of Fourteen
So graciously excepting fate,
A conscious kept so clean,
The strength of her convictions,
On no one will she lean,
If miracles were made of love,
Then miracles I've seen,
In my brothers and my sisters,
Through our mother of fourteen,
Love and admiration,
To this family , a Queen,
Never shall she leave our hearts
Our Mother of Fourteen.

Not only did we loose a Mother, we also lost our best friend & a very special teacher. She tought us how to love, care, respect & cherish every day. We learned that the smallest things can be the most important and that simple spats should never last for more than a day. The love & forgiveness that came so easy to her was a gift that she tried to teach us all even bearing a broken heart if she had to do so herself. She lived a life completly devoted to her entire family and all that accepted her love. The love we have for her will live forever. Her gentle words, beautiful smile & soft touch will live in our hearts and greet us with each day that comes. We aren't quite sure how to go on without her here, but I am sure that she will continue to watch over us & help us on our way. The most special thing she gave us was a large family of brother & sisters so we are never alone & the magic of a loving heart. The heavens above now hold her in her well earned peace with our father. One day we will see them both again but for now, our hearts break & the tears flow for the loss of one of God's most beautiful people that we can only hope to be like. We will Love you & miss you forever & a day.
