Wow its so hard to believe...
I think Kathie said it right, I have a lifetime of memories of good things about Mae. Your family was always like our second family as we grew up. At my moms b-day party Mae and I sat outside just before it rained and we had a very nice and fun talk about everything from camping at Oak Ridge to the trip to Altoona when i was a kid. She reminded me of a note i gave her when i was 10 or 11 that i would cut her lawn for free anytime. She said she still had that note somewhere. She did bring it up a few times over the years. That will always be my fondest memory of Mae. Everyone should have been so lucky to have a neighbor like her.
I am very saddened to learn of her leaving us, and our thoughts are with you

I have known you for 49 1/2 years and everyone knows you are the best neighbors anyone could ever have. We had a lot of good times in the past, but as time goes on, life changes.....our kids have grown, we now have grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mae, I will miss seeing you in your garden taking care of your flowers, but I am sure George will take care of them. You were a dear friend and sadly missed. Love you!!!

George, Steve, Don, Diane and Doreen,
It's so very hard to believe that she is gone. I remember like it was yesterday....our Girl Scout camping trips, camping at Oak Ridge Campground and her always being there for my family. I will miss her dearly and my thoughts are with you. Cherry Lane has lost a shining star.

Memories of a lifetime.
From childhood memories of camping at Niagara Falls, and the shore. Summers spent at "The Pool".
Picking Strawberries and making Ice Cream.
Girl Scout trips to New York City and Wahington DC.
To my bridal shower at your house half a lifetime ago.
Even this last summer we were together at the beach.
My mamories are many and will not be forgotten.
You will be greatly missed.

Mae was a wife, mother, grandmother and friend to so many people. Mae was always on the go doing things that she liked to do. I will miss seeing her too, working on her flower beds. She never stopped being herself for one minute. We will remember all the great times we had at our Christmas party. Rest in peace dear neighbor.
