My fondest memories of Uncle Jimmie were of him, his sister Mary and my father Gerry sharing stories of their childhood in Ireland. They were filled with laughter, smiles and wit. Uncle Jimmie you will always be in our hearts and prayers.

Uncle Jimmie had a quick wit and was a joy to be around. I have missed seeing him the past several years and will miss his notes at Christmas. He resides in our hearts and I know he is having a wonderful reunion with those who have passed on before him.

My fondest memory of Brother Bernard was the time I drove him and another Brother up to the Irish Center in Philadelphia to watch the All-Ireland Hurling Finals Clare against Tipperary. He was so happy to be up there with all of the other sports fans! When Clare won we went down to the Bard's in Center City for a great session and lots of laughs...it was a great day and I will always remember it as I will always remember Brother Bernard. Always a smile and a few kind words no matter how busy he was! I will miss that smile...Go mbeannai dia dhaoibl, a chairdhe.

I will always remember Brother Bernard's laughter and knack of holding a serious face while being completely sarcastic. I will always remember how he was like a 3 musketeer with Brothers Robert and Tom. The three of them together always brought laughter and kindness into a room. Brother Bernard always put a smile on my face and there wasn't an unkind bone in his body. I will miss you Brother Bernard. Love, Jenine

I met Brother ?Jimmy? only once when I accompanied my dear friend, Betty Zupko Hurd, as she visited her uncle. We went to his favorite restaurant, Ponzio?s, where he charmed us with his delightful stories and sense of humor. He made a lasting impression and I feel honored to have met this special man who Betty cherished so dearly.

I first met Brother through the vivid stories of him my dear friend Betty Zupko Hurd would tell. He was her beloved uncle. I met him in person over a year ago and felt the warmth of his personality for myself. His charm, interest in others, compassion and humor all were evident in that memorable meeting.

I worked with Brother Bernard in the Development Department at St. John of God for 11 years 1985-96. During that time I came to know and love his humility, his dignity, his wit, his generosity, and his fondness for a good joke. It was wonderful knowing you, Brother. Godspeed. I will miss you more than I could ever say. Love, Linda
