To my dear friend Ann Marie, and to all the Schultes family, I'm so sorry for the big loss of your beloved Mother. I have such fond memories of her and all of you, from the many and happy visits to your home and to Ocean City, while in College with Annie. As an only child, I found the food shopping trips to be amazing! I think of your Mother with fondness and admiration.

My college days with Ann were truly amazing and we am blessed that those friends we made in the early 60s have lasted. In no small measure, it's because of our parents with their support, kindness, generosity, sense of humor, and unconditional love for their children...traits so apparent in Yvonne. The GCU girls shared so many memorable experiences including visiting the Schultes' home where the house was filled with kids everywhere! And how Yvonne's face shone with the love she had for each and every one of her children, nieces and nephews, husband...and even for Annie's group of visiting college friends. We knew the welcome mat would always be out for Annie's friends at the home of Yvonne and Gus Schultes.

As a college room-mate of Ann Marie, the first of the Schultes ten, I visited her home often and got to know her Mom and Dad, brothers and sisters. What great and memorable parents they were. I was amazed at the organization Yvonne brought to such a large household--closets full of cereals, innumerable bottles of ketchup, cans--enough to feed an army. Once, over a Memorial Day weekend, we college kids visited, went to Ocean City and I got terribly sun burned. Yvonne nursed me lovingly as I lay weak and blistering in a bed in her home. She was so concerned about me and I never felt that I was causing her any inconvenience. She always seemed able to slow down and join in the fun of the company. I am in awe of the wonderful family she nurtured over so many years.

My grandmother was an amazing lady. When you consider that she was the mother of ten kids and not normal kids, either- *these* kids! and you add all the grandchildren and great grandchildren, I feel very fortunate that she graced us with her presence for so long! She lived a great life and always had wonderful stories. Her laugh and her smile never failed to brighten my day!
I know at times it was difficult to spend time with Mom-Mom over the last few years. It was hard to cope with the fact that the woman who loved and cared for us for all these years was beginning to have difficulty recognizing and remembering us. Even-though her mind wavered, her heart always remained strong. I want the family to know that even if Mom-Mom's memory failed her, in her heart- She Always Loved Us.
See you later, 'ol Shoe.
Love Always,
Eddie

We did not know Madame Schultes, but she must have been a great lady to have been Rick's mother. In her memory, we would like to make a donation to the Pastor's Discretionary Fund at St John of God. Bless the Schultes family. Jacques and Diane Villeneuve

What I'll always remember about Aunt Yvonne is her smile. Her smile just invited you into her presence. And her smile was always followed by a hug.
With a greeting like that, you always enjoyed being with her.
