It is agonizing to talk, or think about my dad in the past tense. I'm trying to appreciate the time we had, but my mind is still wrapped around the grief of going on without him.
My dad was a family man, in fact I think his family was his greatest accomplishment. He always seemed so proud of our achievements, no matter how small. When we succeeded, he stood back and took no credit, when we failed, he stood by our side and shared our pain.
He was our baseball coach, our football coach, our boy scout leader, and our biggest fan. He taught us how to ride bikes, drive cars, and even yell at traffic.
-especially yell at traffic.
My dad had several hobbies. His car, the trains, the family tree and working around the house. You could say he was good with his hands. And his hands I will deeply miss. Although they were often dry and rough, I will never forget their warmth and strength I felt when he placed them on me. I felt safe and secure under them and I will remember my Dad's touch forever in my heart.
I love you Dad.

Know that our prayers are with you and I know for sure that he is in Heaven with our Father as to receiving the beautiful emails he always sent.
