Obituary of Charles R. Tanger

TANGER?Charles R. ?Lifelong resident of Deptford- suddenly on Oct. 10, 2005. Aged 68 years. Charlie was a US Veteran of the Army Corps of Engineers stationed in Ft. Belvoir, VA. He was graduate of Kettering University where he achieved his Masters Degree in Engineering. He worked as an engineer for General Motors, Linden, NJ for many years. Charlie was also the current owner/operator of Tanger Feed & Supply, Deptford. Active in area politics, Charlie served as Democratic Executive Committeeman in Deptford. He was an active member of the MUA, Deptford Democrat Club & the Sons of Italy. Charlie loved so much about life; the wind, the sun, the stars, the sea, taking day trips, wildlife, wild birds, his boat, surf fishing, antiquing. He will be remembered as a man who enjoyed life and loved to laugh. Charlie is the beloved and loving husband of 27 wonderful years to Judith Lynne nee Manwiller, dear brother of Diana Johnson and Wayland, loved by the dog with floppy ears, Tessa, also survived by many dear friends. Funeral service Friday 10 AM in the McGuinness Funeral Home, 34 Hunter St., Woodbury, where relatives and friends may attend his viewing Thursday 6:30-9PM and Friday 9-10AM. Interment Gloucester County Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Williamstown.
